Introductions: AMY
Hi! I am Amy!
I am so excited about being a part of this ministry with my oldest and dearest friend! I look forward to this journey together and pray we can shine Jesus in a dark world so all people can come to know His wondrous love!
Let me introduce myself! I am a very busy person! I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 23 years. Together we have two beautiful children, ages 20 and 16.
We serve the Lord together as youth leaders at our church; leaders of a boys' group, Scoring for Christ, that we started five years ago; and as part of an awesome praise team who love to sing a joyful noise to the Lord! In addition to our ministries, I am in my 23rd year as a teacher in public education. Currently, I teach 8th grade science and covet your prayers! ha ha! As if teaching and ministry doesn't keep me busy enough, I am also going back to school through Liberty University Online in biblical studies. I have known for some time that God is moving me into full-time ministry of some kind and I am anxiously awaiting His call to action!
I am the oldest of two children born to Christian parents in the south.
Missing church on Sunday was not acceptable and becoming active in my church and community was encouraged. I have always believed in God and followed Jesus-- but it was much later in my walk when I discovered what a relationship with Jesus was really like. I made the decision to make Jesus my best friend and the center of my life. It was no longer just "what would Jesus do?" but it became "what can I do to shine Jesus to others?"! For me, it is all about shining Jesus in a dark world.
I am 100% in love with God's Word! The Bible is my favorite book. I am reading it through for the fifth time. One thing I have discovered in my readings and studies is I take a very literal view of what the Bible says is true. Paul wrote in 2 Timothy 3:16 that all scripture is inspired by God. God chose who He would use to put pen to parchment-- so if Jonah says it was a big fish, then it was a BIG FISH! My God is that amazing! No fairy tales, no legends or folklore... real stories of the miraculous works of God!
Every time I open the Bible, I discover something new. There are so many verses that are meaningful to me, and for so many different reasons. If I were to choose a life verse-- one that I can recall in times of need, cling to as a motto, or live my life by-- it would have to be Micah 6:8.
Won't you walk with me?

He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
Won't you walk with me?
Blessings,
